Do Space Aliens really exist?

Do you think the earth is flat as well?

How you explain being able to see the equipment left behind by the Apollo missions?

You actually think we were able to travel 237000 miles to the moon in a blue peter spaceship powered by a zx81 in the sixties.

deary me.

Aah bless.

If absolutely nothing else makes sense to your 1 brain cell ask yourself why Russia accepted it?
Go on, give me an answer and don't say they were also conned because we're talking about some amazing scientists being fooled and spies that they had everywhere.

Oh and they didn't even need the ZX81, it could have all been done by the Astronauts.

Absolutely, worse than it bothers me now.
I'm might get another 10 maybe 20 years of life and it seems an age away so being immortal would be awful time wise.

You not fussed about only having another 10 or 20 years of being alive?

Life is too short in my eyes.

And you think the americans went to the effort of building a 3000 tonne rocket, putting astronauts in it, launching it, faking the filming of the landings, sending more rockets to put some visible evidence on the moon, and paying not only the astronauts, but the massive teams of people needed to accomplish this enough to keep quiet for more than 40 years.

And meanwhile the second most powerful nation on earth, and arguably one of the most thoroughly space accomplished, who would have loved nothing more than the prospect of calling americas bluff, were fooled for 40 years?

And that after the cold war, with the need for technological bravado gone, that the americans didnt own up, and join hands with the russians to do it for real to try and build international bonds and instead spent £150bn on a space station?

Deary me

Out of curiosity, do you believe the moon landings were fake?

No why would you think that?

I think something fishy went on but we did go to the moon. :p

As for time being real, it is not real time does not exist at all its a man made invention, just like religion.

If you think time exists tell me how? Tell me how when you stop to measure time, the time it takes for you to measure the time, the time has already passed.

Gravity is a constant, time is not therefore time is not real.

So if you say x star is 10,000 light years away its not, its only your frame of reference ie man made time reference that depicts that distance.

When in reality it could be just around the corner to other alien races. ;)

No because I just can't imagine the pain I'm going to have in 5 years time.
I've just had to go upstairs to the toilet and it was a real struggle.
If I was in better health then perhaps I would think differently.

:( I guess painkillers can only do so much. Hopefully in the future we can cure more illness than we can today.

One of my really huge problems is that I've played in bands semi professionally for 46 years and when I'm forming barre chords I have an electric shock going up my left hand/arm.
I try to hide it from audiences but it's going to get worse and I can't imagine not gigging.
Hey ho, it's called getting old but some people on here are way younger and in much worse shape then me.

my mate had this, he has also being playing gigs for years, his doctor advised him to give up alcohol and it worked,

he has been pain free for most of this year, might be worth a try if your a drinker (like most gig guys)

We've gone through this, we did not invent the movement of the universe, did we? The universe doesn't move backwards, it never stops, it only move's forwards. This forward movement is what we call time. How the hell you can argue time to this degree is mind boggling, surely there are more pressing issues to discuss.

I think they're misinterpreting an odd aspect of much of physics - the equations work independently of time. Forwards, backwards, makes no difference.

I think they're applying that to the macroscopic universe and that's where they're going wrong. As you say, that's simply not how it works. Not on that scale.

There are a couple of good intro explanations on Minute Physics.

Brian cox comes across as patronising as any other university Physics professor teaching loqwe GCSE Physics because that is essentially what he is doing on TV.

As for him backtracking, he has always had a view on Aliens existing in the Universe but unlikely to come into contact with us. You will find very Physicists who stray away from this view. I know, i have met him quite a few times and it is for some reason one of the most asked questions in every open to the public lecture.

Within the universe from our perspective time is continuous and flowing in one direction (that isn't to say it is a man made invention) - we have little if any idea beyond that if this universe were a simulation then it would be quite possible for it to "pause" and we'd never notice.

Which leads to an interesting (to me) observation - if say this wasn't/isn't base reality - what if the entity known as "god" exists... and doesn't exist in base reality either.

How is he patronising? He's simply educating the public on factual science. I don't find him patronising at all. Are you religious?

It has mentioned space aliens in clintons wiki leaks hahaha

i've heard that aliens have stopped some nuclear weapon tests over the pacific ocean and prevented nuclear war.

i hope its true, we need saving so bad
