Do Space Aliens really exist?

an alien civilisation has, does, or will exist.

the problem is where, when and for how long.

the critical peice of data, ie how long a technologically advanced civilisation lasts for, to properly predicts the odds of us ever finding aliens, is something we'll never know until it's too late for it to be relevant.

I'd expect the universe to have a wide range of races and civilizations - most probably don't want anything to do with us, others may be curious to study earth life, others may have self-serving interests and others still may want to assist us in a variety of ways to genuinely help us to better ourselves.

Would it be any different if we sent a random selection of Humans to a newly discovered planet with life on it less developed than ours? I'm sure there would be a variety of approaches with some being discreet, others making a spectacle of themselves and some actually genuinely helping.

In terms of reports of visits, when you add a big dollop of information control, ridicule/suppression and a general agenda of status quo, you have the current situation here on Earth if a sighting or some evidence is actually presented.

People ask for proof, but lets be honest, unless you witness it yourself or multiple people do (and there have been many situations) or someone or organisation perceived as a mainstream authority puts evidence out, then in this day and age of CGI can you really expect most to seriously consider it?

The media is one of the most tightly controlled parts of our society, all owned by various corporations and organisations with different agendas, but generally following the same story when it comes to revealing anything that would change the status quo too much - you wont get a true picture from them, at least not any time soon, people need to do their own research and make up their own minds.

One last point regarding why many of the images/films of so-called alien craft always seem to look like they're recorded on a potato camera.

The kind of technologies we're talking about here - some of it's nuts and bolts stuff as we understand, others go way beyond that - often produces light and colours around the object as a side effect of the propulsion/power used.

The images are often blurred due to the extremely high speeds these craft can operate at and/or they're slightly out of phase with what we know as the visible light spectrum - often why they're more likely to be picked up on camera than the naked eye as the capture range is usually larger than most people can perceive.

Many of these 'craft' are not travelling in space as we think of it but switching vibration/dimension - it's pretty mind-bending stuff once you get into it, but isn't anything that's first appears like magic until you understand the process behind it? :)

All I'm really saying is keep an open mind and don't get stuck in a corner with limiting beliefs, as you only need to look at history for countless examples of people and ideas ahead of their time being ridiculed because they're not the norm at that period.

We are the space aliens. Indigenous fauna dominating this planet for millions of years was wiped out as a prep before our arrival.

This evening I was in a heated discussion with Americans over who runs their country. The President or the Space Aliens pulling the strings. This one chap was convinced that Space Aliens were real and above the US Government and President. And they called all the shots...

yea

wow WikiLeaks really do publish some rubbish.
look at the from email address, which is from ETI website which do this
We educate humans about our work with our nonviolent obedient-to-God ETI, Extraterrestrial Intelligence, from the contiguous universe whose mission is to work with our scientists to bring zero point energy here for the purpose of extending life on our fragile Earth.

Personally I believe that we should leave the galatic federation anyway.

I saw on the side of a spacebus that we would be 350 million star bucks better off if we did.

"They're made out of meat."

"Meat?"

"Meat. They're made out of meat."

"Meat?"

"There's no doubt about it. We picked up several from different parts of the planet, took them aboard our recon vessels, and probed them all the way through. They're completely meat."

"That's impossible. What about the radio signals? The messages to the stars?"

"They use the radio waves to talk, but the signals don't come from them. The signals come from machines."

"So who made the machines? That's who we want to contact."

"They made the machines. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Meat made the machines."

"That's ridiculous. How can meat make a machine? You're asking me to believe in sentient meat."

"I'm not asking you, I'm telling you. These creatures are the only sentient race in that sector and they're made out of meat."

"Maybe they're like the orfolei. You know, a carbon-based intelligence that goes through a meat stage."

"Nope. They're born meat and they die meat. We studied them for several of their life spans, which didn't take long. Do you have any idea what's the life span of meat?"

"Spare me. Okay, maybe they're only part meat. You know, like the weddilei. A meat head with an electron plasma brain inside."

"Nope. We thought of that, since they do have meat heads, like the weddilei. But I told you, we probed them. They're meat all the way through."

"No brain?"

"Oh, there's a brain all right. It's just that the brain is made out of meat! That's what I've been trying to tell you."

"So ... what does the thinking?"

"You're not understanding, are you? You're refusing to deal with what I'm telling you. The brain does the thinking. The meat."

"Thinking meat! You're asking me to believe in thinking meat!"

"Yes, thinking meat! Conscious meat! Loving meat. Dreaming meat. The meat is the whole deal! Are you beginning to get the picture or do I have to start all over?"

"Omigod. You're serious then. They're made out of meat."

"Thank you. Finally. Yes. They are indeed made out of meat. And they've been trying to get in touch with us for almost a hundred of their years."

"Omigod. So what does this meat have in mind?"

"First it wants to talk to us. Then I imagine it wants to explore the Universe, contact other sentiences, swap ideas and information. The usual."

"We're supposed to talk to meat."

"That's the idea. That's the message they're sending out by radio. 'Hello. Anyone out there. Anybody home.' That sort of thing."

"They actually do talk, then. They use words, ideas, concepts?"
"Oh, yes. Except they do it with meat."

"I thought you just told me they used radio."

"They do, but what do you think is on the radio? Meat sounds. You know how when you slap or flap meat, it makes a noise? They talk by flapping their meat at each other. They can even sing by squirting air through their meat."

"Omigod. Singing meat. This is altogether too much. So what do you advise?"

"Officially or unofficially?"

"Both."

"Officially, we are required to contact, welcome and log in any and all sentient races or multibeings in this quadrant of the Universe, without prejudice, fear or favor. Unofficially, I advise that we erase the records and forget the whole thing."

"I was hoping you would say that."

"It seems harsh, but there is a limit. Do we really want to make contact with meat?"

"I agree one hundred percent. What's there to say? 'Hello, meat. How's it going?' But will this work? How many planets are we dealing with here?"

"Just one. They can travel to other planets in special meat containers, but they can't live on them. And being meat, they can only travel through C space. Which limits them to the speed of light and makes the possibility of their ever making contact pretty slim. Infinitesimal, in fact."

"So we just pretend there's no one home in the Universe."

"That's it."

"Cruel. But you said it yourself, who wants to meet meat? And the ones who have been aboard our vessels, the ones you probed? You're sure they won't remember?"

"They'll be considered crackpots if they do. We went into their heads and smoothed out their meat so that we're just a dream to them."

"A dream to meat! How strangely appropriate, that we should be meat's dream."

"And we marked the entire sector unoccupied."

"Good. Agreed, officially and unofficially. Case closed. Any others? Anyone interesting on that side of the galaxy?"

"Yes, a rather shy but sweet hydrogen core cluster intelligence in a class nine star in G445 zone. Was in contact two galactic rotations ago, wants to be friendly again."

"They always come around."

"And why not? Imagine how unbearably, how unutterably cold the Universe would be if one were all alone ..."

It is possible technology may have limits. The universes properties may not allow certain things.

I think so, you can only work with the laws of physics at the end of the day. A photon has a speed limit for example.

Although our understanding of the laws of physics is not complete so we probably have a long way to go before finding our technological ceiling. We don't really know anything about dark energy, dark matter not much quantum mechanics. When we understand this more, i think we will see a spurt of technological innovation next to it. Might be a few hundred years though before anything happens, or it could be next year, who knows.

In the vastness of our known universe, and <text here> only knows what lies beyond the observable, there has to be life. There has to be another planet near enougn to a star to sustain life in some form.

There's billions of planets in our galaxy alone, let alone the billions of only known galaxies..

If you're going to assume that there are infinite numbers of planets, then you can't assume that they will or will not be populated. They could equally be infinitely populated or infinitely un-populated, so you just don't know.

Probably? Not necessarily.

Whilst I believe that they probably exist, there is a strong argument which is along the lines of, if they do exist then why haven't we seen any yet?

Becausr of the vast didtances involved let a lone time scales.

The argument we havent seen them is pretty retarded.

Say theres 1 alien species in every galaxey.

Tbats still millions of species but wed never have rhe possibility of encountering them
