Do we have a Black Friday 2018 Deals thread

Black Friday was good for about a year when it first got heavily marketed over here and it's been trash ever since. It's just a way for retailers to get rid of items that otherwise won't sell. The fact that it now lasts about 2 weeks shows how much rubbish is being sold.

Depends if you're smart about it. Like I said before, smart speakers, hue bulbs and sd cards are always discounted. If you want them, and can wait, you can save a fair few quid.
Yeah, I agree with you if people expect other things to be heavily discounted. We don't properly understand black friday in this country. Take very for example, yesterday they had bigger discounts than today lol

The majority of retailers are simply passing on manufacturers discounts. There's a reason everyone is selling the PSVR for £179.99 is because that's the price Sony have set.

:edit: another good thing about black friday are mobile phone deals :-)

Its annoying to have to wade through all the rubbish to find the few genuine deals.

Amazon should also crack down on upping the prices a week or two before Black Friday just to lower them back down as a 'sale'.

camelcamelcamel must get hammered this weekend!

CD Keys have Middle Earth: Shadow of Boredor Gold Edition for £9.99. Be warned though...its a 100GB download :o

Be wary of Amazon - use a price tracking app like Price Tracker for Amazon. All the items I am following show price rises in the last week before their black friday price drop. The price drops have all been lower than their normal price, but the rise just beforehand makes the discount look way better than it actually is.

I'm sure there are probably items that are actually the same normal price, or dearer on BF.

Samsung 860 2TB for £280 sound a good deal? Currently debating a complete new build and an SSD for games is now a must have!

Im a fan of the PS4 GOLD, just bough the 5million edition, 49.99 in most places and has specific settings for games AFAIK for the surround
Also works on PC via USB dongle nad can be used with a traditional Headphone jack also.
Very comfy but the only thing I think is missing is optional cloth earpads

Laughing at how 28-32" TVs aren't really a thing in the deals; I don't want a 43" machine!
Tell me about it. I've only got room for a 32" in my bedroom and despite having a lovely 1080p Samsung, if it dies on me I'll be stuck!

Ssd prices are crashing hard.honestly its probably gonna go lower within a few months just depends if you need it now or not.
But I wouldn't buy it just thinking it's a good deal.

Cheers! I don't need it now so will just wait, still umming and aahing over what to actually spend on a new build!

Just grabbed a new washing machine from Currys for £189. Bearings have gone in mine so itll be a decent stop gap between now and when i can afford something better

Took the plunge and got the Google home hub for £99 delivered.

It's a present to ourselves (wife and I) as we are basically not buying each other much this year. Won't be opened till crimbo though.

That's what I do, purchased an SSD last week which is now on "BF Sale" but it was cheaper last week. Glad I got it then.
