As the title really
Up to now (I'm 33) I've never really enjoyed drinking beer, I've been a cider drinker staying with Scrumpy Jack or Strongbow on a night out and avoiding lagers as I have always found them a bit nothingy.
Because of this I just didn't try real ales, the idea facinated me but I just associated them with lager and dismissed them.
Earlier this year on the OcUK trip to Scotland, inspired by Feek's beer threads and safe in the knowledge I would have Feek and Garp to guide me I swore that I would try and stick with real ale for the whole weekend sampling as many as I could to see if I liked them. And I do!
Since out little adventure to Edinbrurgh I must have tried 20 different ales from the darker Black Sheep all the way through to the lighter sweeter summer ales like the Badger Brewery's Golden Glory and Fursty Ferret (one of my favorites).
So what I would like to know is, do you drink real ale and when did you discover its joys?
