Do you ever wonder...

There's far too much enthusiasm in this wet weather thread :p

Just seems to be no end to it, what really got me was the fair weather leading up to this 'drought' I had a track day booked at Cadwell on Easter Monday and it chucked it down, most frightening ride of my life, 3 out laps following instructors and 1 lap out on my own. Road tyres, dry weather susp. set up, bike was sliding everywhere. Came back to paddock area, loaded up bike and went home :(

Spent loads on my bike readying it for that. Now I just feel deflated and not ridden it since.

So unpredictable this country, I would say roll on summer but even they've been shocking the past few years!

Someone say Marvin the Robot?! :p

No pain, no gain. Months of freezing cold and damp and then all of a sudden warm weather and a road you can really enjoy, then it seems worth it.

I had a track day in March and even got sun burn't... I stupidly then thought the weather was actually going to be great this year. But no, it peaked way to early.. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that little hot spell was our summer :(

So depressing.

In this country if you are serious about track days you really have to get a spare set of wheels with wets, if you buy scrubs you can do the lot for under £250, and its worth getting a wet weather suspension setup at what are they on TD's £50-60?

I quite enjoy wet track days :D you learn a lot, but then I am told I am quite mad...

Couldn't agree more, thing is it was my first bike track day and was on my pride and joy, so I was never going to go mad. Just having a dabble so to speak :D

As it was I was totally out of my depth, 90% of the guys turned up on track bikes, wet weather set ups and were riding quicker in the wet than I would in the dry!

Time for me to change my biking direction, it was a wake up call that I needed really.

So back on track, pardon the pun, KTM Super Duke's any good in the wet??! :D;)
