Do you feel the cold?

I think 16c may be the minimum temperature for offices. There's something about it in the HASAWA.

hmm thanks for that, I'll ask my boss about it. Our office is a shambles, boxes everywhere and out in the corridor, wires running across the room from floor boxes. Heath and Safety go nuts all the time but nothing is ever done so I doubt they notice that our aircon system doesn't have a temperature control option.. just on and off!

16c seems to be the perfect temperature imo. Always had our aircon in work set to that although there was a mild battle as one person always tried changing it to 20c. :/
Personally I think I feel the cold more than I used to, then again moving has probably helped that. I would still much rather be too cold than too warm though, because as Gilly said, it's a lot easier to warm up than cool down.

More than a shirt and tie? Not all of us work in factories.
Do you insinuate that I work in a factory? I just told you I'm sat in a shirt with the sleeves rolled up. How many factory workers do you know work in shirts?

11 people should suffer just for 1 guy? Excellent logic there genius ;)
How would you be suffering? You'd be warm enough and he'd be cool enough. Stop being so stubborn.

And finally because your mission in life is to start arguements on internet forums ;) (I await your blatant denial). I'm sure I'm not the only one who notices but everyone is too afraid to say anything... *looks around office* hmmm I'm noticing a pattern here :D
Rubbish, frankly :)

If you mean the stealthy hand of Satan reaching through my walls sucking every last inch of joy out of my life then yes.

There's a certain point at which you have to stop. Unless their office is OK with people walking around in shorts. I know we're not allowed.

I'm skinny so i feel the cold a lot.

Actually i dont buy that theory, i am skinny too but i dont get cold easily, my theory is that the skin layer of fat on skinny people acts better at resisiting cold and our skin receptors is slightly less sensitive to cold than the fatties . :p

I tend to get cold easily, probably due to a stupidly low body fat percentage. Doesn't bother me though - I just wear warmer clothes rather than turn the heat up.

Only time the cold has bothered me was in Finland earlier this year, but then it was -29 celcius

Well done! Seems some can't grasp that. Most notably in Gambitt's office and the females in my office.

Aye I have that, wondered if it was some kind of condition. I just seem to run hot...

I'm always cold. I usually wear 2 jumpers if I'm in my flat and I'll have a jacket too whenever I go outside. I was like that in summer too. I think there is something wrong with me :(

Ours is at 8 degrees right now.

What sort of aircon is that? I've never seen any that go below 16 degrees

I agree with those who say that it is easier for someone who feels cold to put on more clothes to warm up than it is for someone who feels warm to cool down - you can only strip down so far when in a working environment.

There's nothing worse than being somewhere where you are wearing the minimum acceptable clothing and you are still sweating (if only I could turn the sun off where I work :( ).

Stan :)
