I hate it when people use text speak and I'm 16. It makes them look uneducated. I don't mind the odd 'u' or '2' but when they are condensing every word I can't even understand it.

was received not long ago.B ome bout 6
Your thoughts?
They must genuinely write everything like that, it's somewhat disturbing that they think it's acceptable.
I did think it was a great demonstration of why you don't go on the motorway on foot though, 6 cars hit him was it?
I don't find it insulting or rude, I just think it's lazy. I always form my text messages using correct capitalisation and punctuation. I do not use 'text speak' ever.
The question was within the context of the thread topic. So obviously not when sending a quick text asking where someone is, but instead writing a tribute message to a lost family member.
agreed. but i wonder if they even know any better ?
eg 14 year old kids who where born with a mobile in there hand and who's chavvy mum and dad taught them to text using text speak.
A Mod, I will mention no names, has just called me a **** via text message!
How do you RTM a text?
