Do you flash others to warn of speed cameras?

Seeing how I never observed one parked around here in an area where it would actually be beneficial for public safety but rather those ambiguous roads that look higher speed limit than they are, I do warn others.

Yes - purely because I appreciate it when people do the same for me. That said, these days - more often than not it is because there is cattle in the road ahead.

I can't say that I do, but I think I've gone through about 4 speed traps in my 50K miles I've done on the road. I guess Birmingham isn't all that bothered about speeding.

I don't have the presence of mind to either:

a) recognise that someone flashing me coming the other way is warning me of a speed camera
b) flash the oncoming lane after passing a speed camera

It just isn't something that I think about.

Yes I do. The legal position mystifies me. The stated intention of speed traps are not to catch people speeding, they are supposed to be there to make sure people aren't speeding. If I flash other drivers and they slow down then the job is done...

yes, of course!

If I saw a maniac driving at stupid speed I might think twice but I've never seen that, just normal folk driving at reasonable speed watching the road not their speedo.

No because people should not be speeding!

:D

To be honest the opportunity has never come up as far as I can remember...

Never heard this, gonna adopt it and tell everyone I know. I suggest everyone else do the same and maybe we can bring it back :p

"Joyce did you see that bloke over there? he gave me the thumbs down, what ever did I do wrong to deserve such a verdict on my driving!"

:D
