Do you floss?

Cheers, will deffo be getting some when I next pay a visit to boots. The gf has been harping on at me to start flossing as well. Says she's 'concerned' about my teeth as I definitely need a few fillings, but I'm thinking maybe she's trying to inadvertently tell me I have bad breath

I tried the 3rd, wouldn't fit between my teeth :(

Luckily I've always had good teeth and gums although I only started using the mini brushes around 5 years. No matter how well I clean they always find stuff I've missed.

Most dentists will tell you that using mouthwash is a complete waste of time. Just throwing it out there.

What floss would people recommend then?

I recommend this.

It's nice and thin and can easily reach between the gums. Has a nice minty taste to it as well. As for flossing, I do it everyday. There is no other way to get right down (vertically) between the gums.

bought those little stick things from boots, the 0.4mm ones. Apparently all but 6 of my teeth are too close together.

Will have to invest in some tape stuff instead. But I just don't understand how that can get rid of plaque etc.

I'd recommend using the small brushes instead of floss. They remove more gunk and are easier to use in my experience.

As for those people saying brushing is enough. It's really not, once you realise this the better.

Indeed,
Get to work with TePe brushes, they are excellent, flossing is fine if you do it right, but its hard to not use a tepe brush right, and the in and out brush action is excellent for interdental cleaning.
