Do you get rid of your box?

I keep them for ages, claiming to her that we need them. Then inevitably we don’t, and they get chucked out months/years later after carting them around different house moves.

Yes for items that you know you will resell down the line. No for items that are pointless keeping boxes for.

Ikea shelf? Bin it.
Mattress? Bin it.
Washing machine? Bin it.
Your mom's thing? Keep that :D

I keep boxes for most tech things I plan to sell on for an upgrade down the road. Was also handy to box up my monitor and PC case etc in their boxes while moving house. Especially the box for the TV, peace of mind moving that too.

As teh title says, do you guys and girls get rid of your packaging boxes for items you bought? Or do you keep them just incase you resell?

For large / substantial items that have high quality packaging, I keep in the loft.

For smaller items with flimsy boxes I chuck away or use as firelighter for the fireplace.

I keep boxes for most resellable things, at least until I'm sure they're worth **** all second hand, at which point they get binned/repurposed/recycled accordingly... or until I run out of space.

For big expensive/resealable items i keep all my boxes either for resale or moving (keeping the TV/monitor boxes is a good idea for moving for example). Normally put them in the roof space in the garage.

I don't bother with keeping packaging for smaller/cheaper stuff normally.

Basically this.....leaning more on the 'until I run out of space' side.

I still have the box for my 55" TV.....I also still have the box for my Abit IP35 Pro XE motherboard :D (the board is now back in it, with a q6600 installed...I think the board is dead...really need to have a clear out!)

Boxes for things like TV's and computer parts are kept (in part in case of an RMA).
Boxes for cheap stuff, or very big things tend to get binned.

Depends, luxury goods, usually keep. Home appliance, will bin after about a week of use. Basically usually until the next recycle bin collection.

Mixed - furniture packaging usually gets binned couple of days after its put up. Stuff like phones and laptops, etc. I tend to keep the packaging during the warranty period. Some stuff I've held onto for far too long though.
