Do you have a plan?

i have actually got a pretty detailed zombie plan that will work against a traditional "walking dead" style shambling hoarde, although if we're talking world war z style piles of bodies it gets a bit trickier.

it relies on something the traditional american zombie franchise tends to forget exists because the yanks dont have them- norman castles

i have one not far from where i live, in excellent repair and perfectly capable of withstanding an organised medieval bombardment so a few braindead shufflers isn't going to break a sweat, and neither is the majority of belligerant survivor groups.

then follows the traditional selectively teaming up with other survivors, looting of supplies from the local area followed by forays further afield. principally we'd be looking to build up stockpiles of weapons, medical supplies and enough food to last us a year or so.

after that we'll need to start working on food production, initially with just guards for the farmers but later on the plan will include the building of fenced off areas of land to free up additional manpower.

the long term strategy after this point will be one of slow expansion, ringfencing bigger and bigger areas once they've been cleared of zombies. this will likely end up taking generations, and we'd need very harsh rules especially when it comes to the subject of inspection of anyone who'd been outside the safe zone

where this does fall down though is the wwz scenario of hoardes large enough to scale the walls of the keep over a pile of it's own members, although once setup the good ol' pour petrol on the pile and set it on fire approach i'd imagine would be quite effective.

steal a cruise boat / super yacht and then just go to a very small island and then kill all the male inhabitants. richard branson's island will do.

So close but you forget one small but important detail.

Castles are tourist attractions, tourist attractions are protected by little red ropes. No one is going to get past that *#@#.

Just head somewhere remote and let nature take its course. Every carrion scavenger in the animal kingdom would be all over the zombies like a rash. The fly population would explode, their larva would devour the zombies in no time at all.

Then all you have to deal with is trillions of zombie insects...better throw a few cans of Raid into the emergency rucksack.
