do you have a 'rag the nuts off it' route?

How great would it be if the government allowed a few of these roads to have unlimited speed limits for set periods of the day, generally early in the morning with signs stating to other road users that there may be a possiblility of cars approaching with extreme speed.....
Not great at all.

Every wanna be driving legend would be out there smashing themselves and other people up.

To have certain roads with no restriction is a bit like saying "heres a free bit of race track. Play nice."

well i live next to the CAT AND FIDDLE from Buxton to Macclesfield
nothing beats this road :) many many many twists an turns ups an downs oh and theres about 4 different routes u can take if u find traffic

snake pass is pretty good also altho a bit slower Sheffield > Manchester

If you go through Blackpool, over the river Wyre on Shard bridge and take all the B-roads to Lancaster that's a corking route. There are two main routes to Lancaster from where I live and my Dad always asks me which route I took- the A6 or the fun way? :p
Very twisty and lots of hills, you rarely have the chance to get above 60 but it feels much faster. Beautiful scenery and it's rare you meet much traffic on there. Good, flat straight over Cockerham sands too, if that's your thing.

I love driving over that route and back late on a summer evening, nothing nicer for getting rid of stress :)
