Do you keep playing bugged games?

Depends a lot on the bugs - something that means you have a high chance of losing significant progress, etc. no I won't carry on playing even if I otherwise enjoy it. What I won't put up with though is developers who have a poor approach to bugs either deny and deny obvious bugs until something forces them to fix it like high profile media exposure, etc. and/or finally fix bugs but then the exact same issues arise all over again in their next title, etc.

What I find puts me off games more is sloppy implementations of things like fundamental movement mechanics or other bread and butter gameplay, etc.

Yeah, Stalker. :D So many of the bugs have been worked on now anyway, and besides, for me, the positives overwhelmingly make up for the low amount of negatives, so it's largely a non-issue.

It depends on the nature of the bug(s) and how enjoyable the rest of the game is. I’ve learned enough not to rage quit an entire game because it’s not completely perfect.

Depends on the severity. Frequent crashes or any significant loss of progress and I’m done. Otherwise it takes a lot to make me hate it.

If I love the game I’ll put up with the lot, but if it crashes every five or ten minutes, or I lose the last hour or so of gameplay, then it’s refund city.

I started playing Betrayer the other day. I got an hour in and uninstalled it as it was buggy as hell.

The final straw was the menu tabs displaying
"text box" instead of the correct text :D

I have little patience for bugs - even in games where I've caused the problem by trying to force them to run in ultrawide :P

Oh man I played Vampire, The Masquerade: Blodlines twice before using the community patches and it was seriously buggy, broken in some places - but i loved it anyway. Amazing game.

I'll play games that can be unstable if I'm enjoying them, if the bugs ruin the game enough then I'll stop playing, some games the bugs make better it's strange but visual bugs etc can be funny.

I hardly ever encounter bugs in games, but have been playing Shadow warrior 2 recently and there have been loads. One that had a blocked gate that meant I had to keep restarting the mission until I eventually got a different map that works. Also had a few missions where you have to collect things and they fell through the floor... It's a fun game though, so I don't mind too much. I just keep fearing a game breaking bug that stops me completing it as I wouldn't be surprised at this point.

Only issue I ever had on KCD was flicking to the map when on horseback and being stuck in a standing position on exit.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker had numerous issues on release, there was a patch pretty much every day for the first month since of which were very annoying.

Don't remember Betrayer being bug-ridden, though a few years since I played it. Maybe it became buggier with age? ;)

In any case, I liked it . Fairly simple game, but atmospheric and distinctive.

Depends on how bad the bugs are I once played ryse and it had a bug that stopped you progressing through the tutorial uninstalled and never played again

I had something like that on Crysis in the base with the two tanks patrolling near the bouncing betty's and waterfall. It wouldn't engage the checkpoint.

I played the buggiest mmo made, vanguard saga of heroes, was definately my favourite game of all time. Was highest mineralogist in europe, courtesy of unemployment

Depends on how interesting I find the game but losing save games is definitely a no go. Played fallout 3 with win 7 compatability issues and remember Stalker SOC was buggy but still carried on. AC Unity on the other hand, still havent touched it again.

Depends on how buggy they are, if the game is fun I can deal with some occasional crashing or weird glitches but if it borders on unplayable because of them, I'll steer clear.
