Yeah but its still closer than Newcastle. Plus it gives you pretty much a rough idea of where Hull actually is.

. This was based on my knowledge of Hull being 'up North' and nothing more. I have no idea where anything above Northampton is, and I'm pretty shoddy below there too.

I was 84 miles away.

Hull and Nottingham both share 2 of the biggest annual fairs in the UK. Hull fair and Nottingham Goose. I have made it to Notts Goose 7 or 8 times now, but the problem I have with Hull is that it's in the middle of nowhere. Such that I'll very unlikely visit Hull fair. Of the places I go to regularly - Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Devon, Bristol, Notts, Cambridge, London... none of them are remotely close to bloody Hull!

We live in the UK. I know where the Angle of the North is. Most people get a ferry from Hull to Holland so I don't understand how people don't know where it is. I know where Stonehenge is even though I've never been and I'm not from the south.
