Do You Know Where 'ull Is?

1 mile, but I had a bit of an unfair advantage. That being said, I reckon I could get within 20 miles of most major towns and cities within the UK.

55 miles out :o. This was based on my knowledge of Hull being 'up North' and nothing more. I have no idea where anything above Northampton is, and I'm pretty shoddy below there too.

I didn't realise Hull was so far North either, it's basically in Scotland

I was 84 miles away.

Hull and Nottingham both share 2 of the biggest annual fairs in the UK. Hull fair and Nottingham Goose. I have made it to Notts Goose 7 or 8 times now, but the problem I have with Hull is that it's in the middle of nowhere. Such that I'll very unlikely visit Hull fair. Of the places I go to regularly - Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Devon, Bristol, Notts, Cambridge, London... none of them are remotely close to bloody Hull!

I can't believe how far some people are out e.g. Scotland, Newcastle area. There is one of the largest suspension bridges in Hull (Humber Bridge). Surely can't be hard to work it out from that.
I'm not saying that I know were everywhere is but land icons like you must know. Its like not knowing where the Liberty Statue is or the Pyramids.

It really isn't.

I do worry for some people in this thread's national geography knowledge

It's not like England and even the UK is particularly large and hard to cover :(

(Unless of course most of your are just trolling with your answers ;) )

We live in the UK. I know where the Angle of the North is. Most people get a ferry from Hull to Holland so I don't understand how people don't know where it is. I know where Stonehenge is even though I've never been and I'm not from the south.
