Only person i let use pc is girlfriend, she just plays LFS a lot or goes on facebook! There is lots of pcs littered around the house for the rest of the family to use!

My GF managed to get a virus on my PC within 10 seconds, and that's not an exaggeration!

She's no longer allowed to use it.

My wife is allowed to use the main PC and my laptop. I've nowt to hide and everything important is backed up.

Besides, I've banjaxed Windows installs loads of times installing rubbish software and my wife has yet to do this!

no one really does because everyone has there own pc and laptop so has no need to use mine, I dont have it passworded but dont have a porn stash either so its not realyl a problem

My girlfriend uses mine on a daily basis as we share the same flat. Shes surprisingly quick to learn with computers though so the whole stupid toolbars issue hasn't occurred. She did however find my porn stash :eek:

My girlfriend's got her own user account on my Mac. She can do what she likes with it, she doesn't have admin and she's not a spazzer at Macs anyway so it wouldn't matter if she did have.

Nope, (CTRL + ALT + DELETE, Lock Computer) but everyone in our house have their own computers anyway (except mum, who uses dad's), my sister's is full of spyware/viruses, need to clean it infact!

I prefer to not let anyone use my pc but if someone asks I will but I will hover over them throughout like a hawk.

A computer is now such a personal item that it feels when someone else is using it as if they are trying on your clothes or going through your wallet or drawers.

I let my friends us my pc, but i force them to boot in linux.
My sister downloaded virtuemonde last time i let her use windows on it...

I don't have a problem with anyone using my PC really. My parents don't get any problems using a PC on their own other than the occasional "how do I do this". They've not ever got spyware or viruses either, you really need to be a bit thick to get them nowerdays...
