Do you let anyone else use your Personal Computer?

I don't have a problem with anyone using my PC really. My parents don't get any problems using a PC on their own other than the occasional "how do I do this". They've not ever got spyware or viruses either, you really need to be a bit thick to get them nowerdays...

Really dont enter a currys store, went to pick up my camera from the newport branch. Every customer infront of me had virus issues on their pc, i really felt sorry for the women behind customer service.

the inhabitants of my house know better than to use my PC - i've instructed then nicely that i'd be extremely unhappy.

my laptops are passworded and are locked whenever i leave them alone, but thats because i don't want my uni-mates setting my homepage to meatspin or something like that :p

my sister quite often uses my laptop when she comes round as she doesn't have the internet at her house, and my mates sometimes use it

don't see why anyone would have a problem with it unless they've got stuff on there they don't want people to find

Has the definition of PC changed from Personal Computer to Porn Computer since the internet?

Channeles Dr Cox....
"I'm fairly sure that if they took all the porn off the Internet, there'd only be 1 website left, and it would be called Bring Back The Porn"

Puts hands on back of head and walks of down the hall way

I dont usually mind, i lent out my laptop to my flatmate for a few weeks whilst he waited for his mac book to come back. I dont have any porn to hide anymore.

Still dont like people using my main pc, its MY corner of the living room!

Do like catching unsusspecting poeple with the "random" home page trick though... (female friend wasnt too ammused with one thats automatically filtered, probably thankfully)

Family? hell no, I don't even let people touch my baby I mean pc.

But seriousely, I just don't trust them with over a grands worth of kit when they still have trouble using MS word.

Friends are another matter, they all know enough to not fill it with virus's.

My housemate will use it if his isn't handy but he knows that I don't care, same as me with his. We don't download stuff to each other's anyway unless it's been agreed beforehand.

Leave my pc alone for a second and my brother has installed unwanted games on it, my sister has not washed her hands and left the keyboard covered in chocolate or my friends have renamed all the folders in my documents and chnged the desktop image to something humorous. Not that i ever remember to lock my pc or put a password on it anyway.

Last time I left my home computer unlocked my brother changed the background to this:

Let a friend use it in uni for some work and would let my sis use it if really necessary but they have their own computers/laptops, depends on whether they bring them. Only when I can oversee what they're doing though, otherwise no-one so much as looks at my lappy;)

Only my mates but I'm always around to keep an eye and all they do really is play games.

Wouldn't trust random people on my pc, not even parents, my mum doesn't know too much but is generally cautious, and my dad makes a mess of pc's filling the desktop with shortcuts to webpages.

But stuff like my pictures or my internet history are simply private.
