Do you Max Your Games Out

Ive found that as well with theese two games, the difference from 4x and above, isnt very noticeable at all.

I usually stick to 4x on those for that reason, engine seems very picky about what gets anti aliased and what doesn't.

Yep, 4x as well most of the time. ive noticed that things such as overhead wires in game, still look rather jagged even with very high amounts of aa. I also had driver issues a while back with anything higher than 4x aa, would result in a wsod. Seems fine now with the latest release. Also, 32x results in a fair bit higher gpu memory usage for me, (1090mb ono).

graphically i try to, but i'll only accept 25fps minimum else i'll just have to accept that my machine is just inferior and turn it down.

game wise, i dont really aim to 100% a game, just complete it and have as much fun without having to scour every single pixel for that secret item :P

I need about 60fps above in FPS games, I can deal with less than that in other things though. So, my settings are set to suit. My rig is a few years old now but I honestly see no point in a major upgrade yet.

Mostly. I'll start out at max everything with 8xAA. If if doesn't run too good, I'll drop the AA to 4 then 2 then 0. If if it still doesn't run very well I'll either put up with it,drop other settings or shelve it untill I have a better GPU. That sounds harsh but with so many games to play, it doesn't really matter:)

I always balance it out. For multiplayer games I always prefer a smooth gaming experience, so prefer fps to be higher and therefore lower the graphical settings slightly. For singe player I try to max out the graphics but depends on the game; Crysis 2 DX11 definitely not, and same with Metro 2033.

Medium/high. As long as some things are high/max like detail (textures, models, environment) and 8x+ AF then I'm quite happy to have others lower (like shadows and AA).

Yes, Core i5-2500k, GTX480 and 8GB ram so no trouble maxing all my games.

On the odd occasion i may turn off a frames per second killer in games like The Witcher 2's uber sampling for example but 99% of the time it is max everything.
