Do you miss school?

Primary school was boss. Loved it, Teachers were great, everyone was friends, school dinners were awesome.

Secondary...hated it. Was a total change from Primary school and my grades suffered because of it.

College and Uni are fab though!

I get the odd time where I do miss being able to spend 6 sunny weeks, sprawled out on a local field with my mates rather than being stuck in the office.
Then again there's no way I could go back to living at home under someone else's rules.
Oh yeah and I wish I'd put more effort in in my A level years.

I hated school and school hated me. I was at a school I really didn't belong in. I did very well on the entrance exam and went to a very good grammar school but my personality was completely at odds with it and I would have been much better off at a halfway decent comprehensive.

So no, I don't miss school. I didn't even finish my GCSEs, and my secondary school were the worst years of my life so far.

I don't, and it was only 4 years ago that I left. I used to worry about going to school and for no aparent reason, so didn't really enjoy it.

I miss sixth form a lot though, as I never really got into a social circle until then. It was a laugh because I got on well with the teachers, and had a good group of friends :)

Hell no. School was rubbish, I learnt a lot more in the years after school than during. Also you can buy all kinds of cool stuff after school and basically do whatever you want. Maybe having a lot more friends is better, but whatevs.

Best day at school was the day i left.

Me too. Years of verbal and physical abuse now consigned to the dustbin of memory. I'm not bitter about it now. A lot of kids had it worse than me. I just hated being bullied because I was skinny. Guess I was an easy target. Being an adult is much better.

Nope - Mixed with too many people from council estates & people who where jealous of what I had.
Always said if there was a reunion I would never go, I wouldn't want mix with that class of people again.

I miss the lack of responsibilities you have at high school. Also met my first ever proper girlfriend there, the love of my life :D

I miss learning without having to shell out thousands for it. After paying £XXk for my degree I was welcomed by the realisation that I then have to secure funding for exams that give me a professional standing which, again, run into the thousands.

I don't miss the school experience though. Sure it was nice having the diversity of education (all those different subjects), but it seems to me the people who still think school was the best time in their life are the same reprobates and no-hopers that will likely never leave the little backwater town we grew up in.

I miss it quite a lot sometimes, but mostly down to the social side of it. Those same friends I grew up with for over 6 years are now scattered across the country so I rarely get to see them these days.

No, I much prefer working. I even preferred work experience to school. I do regret not making the most of it, especially the social side. However I don't think I'll trade that for where I am now.
