Don't people sell adoptions on Craigslist in USA, though?Of course you don’t own a person, this is clearly why you don’t see people for sale on eBay or Gumtree.

Post #42 dear boy.Plenty of people sell stuff on eBay and Gumtree that doesn't belong to them!
I don't own my son? What makes you think you "own" a child ?
you are responsible for the child but that's very very different to owning them.
I don't need to stamp copyright details on him. I would if I was applying a creative commons license upon him though.Does he have the details of this copyright stamped into his feet like a Star Wars action figure, though?
No?
Then you don't own that boy, the taxpayers do! Son, your forum post is writing checks your avatar can't cash. You've been busted, you've lost your qualifications as family leader three times, put in hack twice by me, with a history of high speed passes over..... oh, sorry, getting carried away with the reference, there! Apologies.![]()
I was having a discussion about citizen and your own children's ownership. It's good to know the fundamentals etc. So what's the relationship between the State and us or our children. Obvioulsy if we commit a crime then we are arrested/jailed etc. But even in our so-called free lives does the State still actually own you?
