Do you people still use a CRT?

Most of my friends still use CRT's. It makes me sick to see CRT fanboys still around nowadays, they should've been put in camps months ago.

still using a crt here :)

mitsubishi 930SB 19"

great screen, planning to move to an lcd at some point but i think ill wait for when 20+ inch widescreens are cheaper :)

Recently retired my 21" Hp (Sony Trinitron tube) as I have changed desks and it just took up too much space. Poor thing is now sat in the spare room. It was a fair few years old and the colours had started to fade but it had served me well :(

Yeah, I use dual 15" CRTs! I'm too poor to buy a TFT, and so make do with these bad boys. Can run anything at full spec, though! (On my 1024 resolution...)

Same here. Been using it for several years now and no problems yet.

I was considering changing to a 20" LCD monitor for the power, space and weight savings but I couldn't bear to get rid of the CRT :(

I have the same CRT, as you say great screen except the "super bright 2 mode" stopped working after a couple of months and text can look blury in places @ 85hz. I was planning to change to LCD when I thought it had started to loose some of its sharpness and the colours started to look a little washed out but after upgrading to an x1900xt it looks better than ever so it mush have been a problem with my old x800pro.

Will probably go LCD this year though, thinking about getting a Samsung 244/245t. :D

still using Dell P1110 (sony) 21" CRT monitor, 1600x1200 @ 100hz

i CANT find any TFT better than my CRT so far, got LG 19" TFT 12ms with spare PC, not good as Dell CRT

Currently using a 22" LaCie Electron Blue IV CRT and hopefully it'll last for years. There's no TFT under £1,000 that would be better for me, so I'll stick with CRTs for the time being. I've got the desk space and it gives me outstanding image quality and colour rendition so I couldn't be happier.

Unless someone gave me a LaCie 321.

I've had my 17 " crt for years. Been through about 4 systems with it, just couldn't seem to put the money into another while it still worked. finally started to die on sunday so it's lcd here I come, although I don't like this dead pixel thing. :(

I currently have a 19" CRT, Hansol 920P. However I am getting rid of this the second I have enough money for the Samsung 940BF

Have been using a Hyndai Q770S for a few years now.

Bought a Neovo F419 yesterday though and will be using it tonight :D

Just last week i finally bought a TFT after using a CRT for years! Took me a long time to decide should i or shouldn't i. In the end i had too as the CRT was giving me health problems, headaches, sore eyes etc.

Well i did have a CRT 19" but i just upgraded to a 19 inch Wide Screen TFT

very nice wont go back to the CRT now

I use a 19" Viewsonic flatscreen CRT as my main monitor, though I have to use *two* glare filters on it to stop it giving me eyestrain, I keep hearing about how much better the high end TFT's are for gaming etc, but I've yet to be convinced by anything I've seen in the shops; I'm not exactly sure what you'd call it (the contrast ratio?) but they just don't look as good as a good CRT, IMO, plus I've got a nice big desk, so monitor weight/size is not a problem.

Still using CRT screens as I don't fancy downgrading :)
Heh, same here. Dark, blotchy, juddery, horrible things which are little use for graphics/photography. Crappy dot pitch. Evil. :bleargh:

I have two 21" Dell P1130's which are re-branded Sony G520's.

They are running at 1792x1344 @ 92Hz, sharp, acurate colours, 180 degree viewing angles, Black blacks, White Whites, 0ns responce time and no shimmering ;)

They cost £50 a piece off eBay, is there a TFT solution to match for under 10x that cost??

I know a few people still on CRTs as they are better for gaming. The difference isnt that much now but a CRT is still superior for fast paced gaming. Personally i prefer the better image quality of a TFT and the fact that CRTs give me a bad head.
