I have the same one. Had it since University so it is about 36 years old. It is mainly used now for when I need to work something out when gaming and can't alt-tab out to Windows calc or be bothered to grab the phone. Bit of a come down for the old girl really. I remember when I when the battery eventually ran out I modded an external standard AA battery to it and ran it with that when it was regularly being used. Before I eventually came to my senses and got a proper button cell for it.

I still use a Casio Fx 991ES Plus regularly at work though. In fact, I worked out how old the above calculator was on it just now.

Yeah I darn't work out how old this one is :D

Yes, still own but do not use.

At work I use the Windows based calculator, with numpad to input - it hugely grates, nigh on enrages, me when people who click each number/function with the mouse, I bought my colleague a physical calculator for this reason which they fortunately prefer to use.

BTW, I can count the number of times I have ever used the GRA mode on any calculator on the fingers of one hand which has all all the fingers cut off.

Yes, I have a mechanical one from the 50s. I used to do my taxes with it.

Still use my scientific calculator which is about 28 years old. When doing sums, its easier to use than the Windows' calculator.

Yes. I own a Busicom BS-3312. I have had it for around 20 years. Followed me around all my jobs in that time. Simple and straightforward and I find it more simple to have on standby on the desk rather than a digital option.

Do I own one? Probably I found the scientific one I used at college a couple years ago and it still works. Do I use it? Lol no if I have a need for calculations Windows Calculator is good enough

My Dad has this thing which I remember doing my prinary school homework with in the 90s. I just use my phone or windows calculator though (especially as you can make it stay on top of all other windows which is useful)

Oh my I had one of those too

I use an abacus.
Not log tables? Used to have to go through those in maths classes get out the book full of log tables calculate the answer, the most boring thing in creation.

Yes, as an accountant I still use them regularly even with Excel and the built in Windows calculator. It's particularly useful for working things out in meetings where you don't take your laptop with you.

It's probably quite sad that I'm about to ask my current employer if I can take my Sharp elsi mate with me when I leave, as I've grown attached to it.

I've still got a proper scientific one from when I was at technical school, a Texas Instruments jobbie. Never used it for much, but it was great for adding up to 55378008.

Many machinists and engineers still use them, as they are easy to use with PPE on.

Can't resist any longer ....

One of my favourite all time jokes

What did the mathematician do when he got his calculator stuck up his bum?

He worked it out with a pencil :D

Surprised this old thing works, not used it in years. Think it just got kept in the draw for sentimental reasons.

I had this calculator during my GCSEs and had it at work for many years, although it died recently. Was a sad day. Was covered in tipex and burn holes from red hot paperclips!

I still have this one in my desk drawer and was surprised to see it still powered up after giving it some daylight
