Do you update your Bios?

i updated my 890gpa-ud3h from FA to FD and now an old maxtor 160gb drive i have doesnt make the boot sequence lol.

have to reboot for the drive to be detected or plug it in after the bios screen :@

aparently people have been getting better overclocks with the latest bios for this board though

I did it for the sake of it on my old mobo and it bricked it! I would only it if there is a known issue but no point doing something when theres a chance of it all going wrong for no apparent reason. And no i didn't do it in windows ;)

fixed my issue by moving the drive from a sata3 port to one of the two sata 2.0 ports but still proves updating a bios isnt always a good thing.

its just an old drive i install games to my c: is a samsung f3 500gb which works fine still on a sata3 port after the bios update
