Do you use DAB radio in your car? Is it worth it?

Rarely use it and when I used to before getting my latest car it would drop out from time to time especially if going into neighbouring counties i.e on a run to the coast, Spotify via car play is my usual go to for music these days as I'll have my phone plugged in for maps most of the time.

I find DAB awful in my parents A Class, constantly cutting out whereas in my truck it’s very good with barely any cutting out and when it does it will switch to FM seamlessly, I’m guessing the cab on an HGV is far taller than an A Class and with the aerial being higher up it gets much better reception?

It’s certainly better for listening to something like Test Match Special on DAB rather than long wave for example but it’s still got its flaws.

Some manufacturers implementation of DAB antennas are terrible, Discovery was rubbish always dropping out, Evoque was better, the XC90 can pick up stations in locations in which neither of the other two could dream of.

I normally just Bluetooth my phone then use the various apps to stream radio/music.

If I am in a rush and cannot be bothered to mount my phone I will quite happily listen to DAB however. Normally Talksport though.
yep I'm the same otherwise I just use FM... old school is cool.
