Having an iphone, it means that I always use full words and sentences except for things like atm or lol.

I used to do it anyway with my old n95, it's just a lot easier on the iphone.

I can let it pass in SMS messages because of their nature but there is no excuse for it elsewhere such as emails, forums etc. it's just lazy IMO

my sms mesages are usualy punctuatad and speld corectly,

But if a single character will suffice as a response I do that instead, to make it a particularly valuable character.

I'll only ever use text speak in a sarcastic reply to others using it. For instance, when a player begins throwing around baseless accusations of hacking in COD4 simply because someone else is consistently handing their arse to them. I'll usually respond along the lines of "ZOMG HAXXORS !!1!!11! WTFROFLBBQ", then follow it up by telling them to get out if they cant hack losing whilst playing a competitive game. I know I'm only lowering myself to their level though.

I feel so dirty.

Never, doubly so because I have a blackberry, so to me an email is exactly like a text message and I don't want to get into the habit of writing like a spastic.

Nope. I never use text speak, but then my phone also has a full keyboard so I guess that makes it a little easier.

I don't use it in texts either, I tend to spell the word out just out of habit and I sometimes find it hard to understand when I get a message full of text speak. I'll use abbreviations like lol and maybe a few others but I don't shorten words like you to u.

I used to always use text speak. Its a very annoying habit to try and loose cause i kept doing it without thinking but thankfully i've now nearly got it out of my system although i still use acronyms e.g. lol, brb, tbh, lol.... but one day i shall be free of it!

I make a point of never using it, because I hate it when people send messages to me and use it.. I definately use tbh, ***, lol though..
