Do your fingers default to the WASD keys?

I tend to default to ` f semi-colon and right arrow :p

nah I wouldn't really say mine rest on any particular keys... if I just put my hand on the keyboard then I tend to end up on backslash s d f space. I also go for escape quite a lot cause I use vim at work :s

On that note vim has ruined my ability to use a normal text editor. I tend to end up with files full of :w s

UHJK for me, thats the keys I have used since the first time I played Doom at Uni in 94 all the way through to TF2.

IOPL are usually weapon binds in Q3 I was rail, O was rocket, P was Plasma and L was shotgun.

Just checked, dropping my hand to the keyboard while looking at the screen..

WAD (4th, middle and index), shift (little), ctrl (little's joint), space (thumb).

COD2MP with crouch, prone and stand up has trained me :D
 
Sure enough i default to Shift with my little finger, Thumb goes on space, W is for the Middle finger, A for the ring finger and D for my index finger. When i come to typing i just move my hands where they need to go, Can type just as fast as a touch typist provided i know what im ment to be typing.... My Hands can be faster than my head at times.

same here,

my sister hates it, and keeps buying Mavis Beacon teaches typing to try and type faster

i keep telling her, the fear of dying* makes you type faster

*dying in CS



i always set shift as duck, and F as walk
