Do your parents ever get drunk?

Giving me mum a bottle of wine is so funny. She is on the floor shortly after

Same here.

My Dad is a hilarious drunk too, once got a complimentary bottle of champagne from from a garage because they didn't fix the car on time. No one liked it so he drank the bottle to himself. Went upstairs a while later to find him sat on the side of his bed swaying saying "My eyes hurt and I feel sick". :p

My mum very rarely, only if she goes out. My dad sometimes and he is ****ing hilarious, and is how we ended up having christmas pudding at 2 in the morning the other night

Dad vert very occasionally and it's hilarious, mum doesn't. Seen my dad got to sit on a chair at a wedding and just completely miss it :D, much chuckling was had, then even more chuckling as he got told off.

Dad's an alcoholic, so thats a yes I guess.

Mum sometimes tries to keep up with him, which just makes her look silly.

Not really a fan of alcohol, what it does to people, and how it affects those around them. My own hang up I know, just had too many years of damage.

Both of them do, infrequently. My Dad will admit being drunk while he's drunk once he's done something daft. He'll refuse to admit it at a later date. My mum will deny being drunk while she is drunk - even if she's knotting herself laughing - but admit it days later.

My dad is immune to alcohol, hes downed 26 bottles of Stella 330ml in one sitting of Dominoes (i counted his tally in amazement) with nothing so much as a sway in his step. They used to pound back a bottle of rum each in a night back when he was young so i don't know how much it'd take to really get him properly drunk. He rarely drinks as well, maybe once a yr though hes admitted to being quite a booze hound in his 20s (hes 60 now).

My mum on the other hand starts getting loud after one glass of wine.

My Mum & Dad are around 77/76 and I only ever saw my Dad drunk once in the 80s.
He was lying on his back in the hall using a toilet roll as a trumpet and my Mum was disgusted with him while I was laughing my head off.

Never seen my parents drunk, never really drunk around them (only 17). It was weird when I was at my friends house for his 21st and his parents were really drunk... it was like "never seen my parents like that before!"

My dads an alcoholic so yes, don't like it as he gets quite lairy and unpredictable.

Mum, very rarely have I seen her get drunk.

It's weird, some people I'm fine around when they get drunk, others even if they are not aggressive or only mildly drunk I'm not comfortable around them, I don't like how alcohol seems to bring out a different personality in some people, I find that disturbing.

My Dad (God rest his soul) liked a drink or 2, when we were kids he'd come home late & half sozzled regularly, but in latter years especially after he had retired he would only go out at lunch time and just have a pint (real ale) 2 max, he always drank it in half pint servings for some reason. My Mum isn't a drinker at all, half a glass of wine and she's bladdered, no tolerance for it at all.
