Do we have a definitive list of which insurance companies offer DOC to under 25's? It's time to shop for insurance again and this is an essential component.

And for under 21's! I wan't to drive yours. :D

Drive Other Cars. Covers you third party for driving a car not owned by yourself or leased to you under a hire purchase agreement.

So far my list contains:

Bell
Quinn Direct

Anyone else? Quinn wont quote due to age

swiftcover offer it but you have to pay extra you can select it on there web quote. Didn't take it out this year wish I did. Never mind next renewal I'll be 25 and so it should be easier.

Must be a recent thing, Quinn gave a mate of mine DOC on a policy when he was 19, two years ago. Or it could be a combination of age/vehicle.

Which is why Quinn are on the list - they offer it to under 25's - but for me, they wont quote due to age.

They'll offer it to under 25's, but not to you because you're under 25? Insurance company logic at it's best.

edit, unless by age, you mean age of the car?

No, they'll offer it to under 25's if they take out a policy but they wont give me a quote because of my age - I'm sure if I wanted to insure a Clio 1.2 I'd get a quote with DOC.

So not useful.

Can we just list insurers we know for a fact offer to UNDER 25's? All I'm trying to do is get a list of insurers I can then run quotes off with. Thats all :p

i no the list was for people that do offer it :p but if you know who dont offer it then it will cut down the number of companys that may offer it :)

I'm not sure what quinns cut offs are for 21-25 y/o, I know that if you are under 21 they won't quote on anything >100 bhp, I have the feeling that the cut off for those of us in the 21-25 bracket might be 200bhp; I've done a few test quotes with them and things like mondy V6 2.5L result in an (albeit rather high) quote, but if you try for example an old volvo with a 2.4L turbo'd engine you won't get a quote
