Gone from a computer to laptop, I still have my old hard drives from my computer however.

Was wondering if there's a device I can 'dock' my hard drives into and still use them on my laptop by plugging in through e-sata or USB, I have USB3.0 and so if you can find a 3.0 version that would be awesome.

EDIT:

I don't want a NAS version where I can plug it into a network, just one that would work via USB.

Also only needs to be able to dock 1 hard drive. It's a samsung f3 7200rpm. Thanks.

There are a few to choose from here

USB3.0 seems either expensive or out of stock at the minute. For a single drive something like the IcyBox about 2/3 of the way down is a good idea but it's £44. The Sharkoon Quickport XT at the bottom is a lot cheaper but it leaves the drive exposed. Nothing wrong with that but if you're a neat freak it's maybe not what you're after.

eSATA is usually slightly better than USB 3.0 in terms of bandwidth but either will be much faster than USB 2.0 (2-4 times faster depending on the speed of the HDD).

I have an Akasa DuoDock and it works great via eSATA. :)
