oh hell major revelation, the other dude hiding his face is Wilf. He wouldn't take up arms during the time war/refused the final sanction.

I don't know if I buy the whole ceasing to exist thing, I think being trapped in a time lock would mean it's happened, but people can't go back to interfere with it.

Although i suppose that's more of an adopted parent if he was made in the looms.

Apparently the looms haven't been confirmed as canon so there's room for speculation there. Also I think that leak was the actresses assumption rather than confirmation.

That said I like the idea of it being husband and wife refusing the final sanction. A version of Wilf from the time war is married to that woman, with the version of Wilf we're used to really being a time lord who lost his pocket watch.

I refer to versions of Wilf as I'm not quite sure how the time line would work out. Maybe Wilf somehow gets out of the time war, does the old pocket watch trick and ends up in the 1900s as the Wilf we know now. Maybe.

Im trying to suss out how that woman was able to contact wilf in the first place if she was trapped in the time lock? She also implied she was once lost. It just seems as if she could well have escaped from gallifrey or did she appear before all this time war business kicked off?

If they can use throwing a diamond at a hologram of earth as a way of breaking the timelock then the chances are that the reason behind that woman being able to contact Wilf will be just as non-sensical.

I was actually under the impression it was all just a bunch of bollards... The episodes(s) were basically terrible. Just loads of outlandish almost random things happening. Felt any sense of some rules by which the episode would abide by were just thrown out of the window and anything could happen at any minute... and seemingly it did!

ps: I though she was her mother too...
