dod:source worth the money?

Im looking for a game to play that ican just play when im bored ,ie coutnerstrike etc, but i want to try dod source, iLOVED medal of honor : allied assault many years ago (yeah, i rocked,serious) and wondered if this is anything like it? Do many people play it, or will i be paying $19 to play with like 50 people who are hardly on :rolleyes:

Is there anyway to trail it before i buy?

i wish i could sell you mine. however i prefer counterstrike and hardly ever play DOD:S, but if you can stand the HUGEEEEEEE recoil then buy it, it isnt that bad, tis pretty good. however you might wanna try a free weekend if you are still not sure.

There isn't a trial as far as I know. They've recently (last weekend) had a free weekend of play that was avaliable to everyone.

I only brought it three weeks or so ago and think it was an excellent buy. Don't worry about your system being able to run it, it'll run it with no problems what so ever.

Overall: Worth it.

Well, you're a couple of days late as there was a free Weekend for it last weekend, but have a look at http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17596804&highlight=day+defeat to show you what those that did try it thought.

I think the only bad time I had was when I joined some sort of 'American Reenactment' server. I lasted 5 minutes before the historically inaccurate tosh got to me.

i like it just started playin it recnetly used to play CSS but got fed up of not respawnin, which is why DoD is good add me to xfire play a lot with rebel uk

Come pop along to my clans server sometime, its UK based so you should get a nice low ping, we have a good few regulers on the server, both clan members and not, and we're more about playing for fun, so like to keep a nice friendly atmosphere and annoying ******* will be kicked and/or banned if they don't change their ways.
