TBH even if stack aren't around in 5 years i'm not going to get excited, it's just over £8 a year over 5 years with the potential to be £40ish for life. I don't see a down side to this compared to the current offers doing the rounds for most providers.

Have no idea about airvpn but just for anyone wondering with torguard ive used over 1TB a month (between up and down) for a few months and not heard anything from them.

Anyone cancelled PIA?

I auto-renewed on the 10th and then noticed they're doing a two-year deal. I was able to cancel my membership and get a refund, but my desktop app is still showing as connected.

The website also seems to say I get to run out the rest of my subscription.

I was wondering if I will lose PIA connection over the next few days, or I'll have a 'free' year. :eek:

For the same price as a year's PIA you could have a lifetime of Pure, it's 100% up to you, but I've jumped ship and its just as good for me speed wise.

How does that equate to $2.08 pm if the second year is 'free'?

And it's only $10 cheaper than PIA. Certainly not a lifetime. Or am I missing something?

So it's only running when you're using the internet? Browsing, Facebook, Ebay etc

I'm planning on having a specific port on my router bound to my VPN, that way I just activate the Ethernet connection and it's already dialled.

I leave it connected all the time on that VPN and have firewall rules so that if it disconnects all internet traffic stops

I think they are kinda pointless, like trusting someone to park your car for you, especially if you use it for acquiring copyrighted material. These providers can still be compelled to hand your details over and there's no such thing as 'no logging'.
