Does anyone actually own a Zune 2?

I think i understand. I'd probabally be using my pc and laptop and syncing wireless 90% of the time.

It's pretty easy to go into the zune software and delete a single track or an album?

With an ipod, you have to delete the file from the pc when re-sync the ipod. But what if you are away from home on a different pc, or a your pc is formatted and non of the songs thats on your player are on the pc, i just can't understand how i can remove a single song from the ipod any other way.

This is what i dont want with zune, i want to be able to plug it in, access whats on my zune with software or whatever means, and just click "delete".

When you plug the zune into the zune software you can set it up as a guest so it's not registered with pc but you can copy music to it and it won't get removed

Thanks.

Is it as easy to remove songs as well? (From any pc i happen to be at )

Think i'm understanding now.

You can drag and drop files onto and off again as a guest Zune (as long as they aint DRM'd files).

There is also a reg hack to make the Zune show up as a drive under explorer for transfering none media files. (I sometimes used to tranfer large databases from work on my Ipod so i will try this next time i need to).

Perfect! Thanks.

After using my moms and gfs iput it put me off mp3 players. I think im heading towards a zune2 8gb tho :)

Can you connect them to in-car sterio via USB?

I have the Car charger/ FM transmitter (offical one) the belkin one looks better as it includeds a holder but the whole "FM" bit is not the best tbh, I've seen a few people using the Docking station and some fancy custom car set ups.

PS
in answer to your E-mail I got mine while I was over in the US with work from radio shack. I got a 80gb zune2 and my boss got 2x8gb zunes for his kids. So im afraid i dont know anywhere good to get one from over here.

I got my 80GB Zune from They're a competitor mate, not allowed. Big Kev matey for £150inc postage :) Brand spanking new out of the box :).

Looking good, im about 70/30 in favour of the 80gb over 8gb at the moment as there's not much of a price difference between the two.

Do you use podcasts much? I've been looking on the zune software and been looking through podcasts. A few there i'd like to subscribe to!

What else can you do video wise, apart from music videos.

I listen to a ton of podcasts; you can't subscribe to them through the zune software unless you have an account; which of couse we can't get in the UK yet but you can just find and find and add the subscribe-url and it takes care of the rest.

You can stick any videos you like on it (as long as they're in the right format); I haven't ripped any of my DVDs yet but I've heard they take about 1GB each at the zune resolution. I'm going to stick a few of my kids on before we go on holiday. (Daughter + disney film + long car journey = win for me).

Sorry, I didn’t realise that it was a competitor seen as the website is talked about on this forum every day in numerous threads.
Haven’t really tried any podcasts yet, never really understood what they were, I've put a couple of DVD's on and there around 700mb-1gb of space :) I would say its more value for money to go with the 80 though :)
