Does anyone commute to work in an interesting way?

maybe it's not that interesting but I live inside the building I work in. My room is about 3x3m which ironically is smaller than some of the walk in wardrobes in my house :D

It's so so nice to role out of bed 30 min before you have to start work.

Where I used to live there was someone who used to ride a unicycle to work everyday.

Recently I have seen someone riding their hoverboard to work. I've seen them 3 or 4 times. Not sure if they catch a train or bus first, but certainly their last couple of miles is by hoverboard.

I used to see them on the tube sometimes, but not since they were deemed illegal.

Eh, elaborate? Do you live inside hospital you work in? Doesn't that takes its toll / be a bit grim.

(Apologies if I've misread the situation) :p

I remember back in the nineties there used to be a guy who ran to his work from Skeggy up to Fantasy Island at Ingoldmells and back every day whilst making circular movements with his fists by his side and going choo-choo-choo-choo like a steam train. If anybody got in his way he'd raise one arm and pull it down twice whilst going toot toot.
I kid you not.

Yes. I live in hospital accommodation. It's just too much trouble to keep moving house with each rotation.

i walk on my hands. palmed dog **** a few times and get wedgied by the school kids but it's worth it for the upper torso i've built

I remember reading on dailymail or somewhere about a guy who commuted to work in a spitfire plane, that he had built himself.

Wasn't there some...loser...who commutes via scooter (as in the foot powered kind) on here?

I knew someone who came to work on a skateboard, good 4 or 5 miles too. Mind you he was about 18 so he's not old enough for his knees to have given up on him but at that rate it won't be that long before his cartilage wears out I imagine.

2-minute bike ride here, not very exciting.

Used to take the Star Ferry across the harbour when I was in Hong Kong, or the MTR up through the New Territories depending on which office I was in.

I commute in my dressing gown and slippers... from my bedroom into the room next door. I've considered shortening my commute further by either moving my desk into my bedroom, or my bed into the other bedroom.

House, why are you in hospital accom? I fear living in hospital accom. I have a lovely gf and ca at home.

It's a difficult one. I'm trust grade so I'm free to quit and move any time I feel like it. The post was only 10 month long so it's hard to find a flat, get your self comfortable and move again 9 months later.

The seconds issue is that I decided for 2 years I'm going to live off only my pay and that alone (excluding buying but including running my cars) and the hospital accommodation while still expensive is a lot cheaper than a flat.
