Instead of faffing with usb sticks and what not, this is what i do after installing once on a machine, i'll put all the needed drivers (and things like 7zip) on a partition, then remove the drive letter

that way, next time you format (if you don't image the drive), you've got them all hidden away at the end of the drive :)

I've got a seperate 250GB drive for downloaded drivers, I've got about 20 versions of ati drivers lol, totally un-needed of courses but may come in handy. other then that i've got about 400 program installs/driver installs for just about anything, coretemp and speedfan to audio drivers and gfx overclocking tools. :)

No I can't say that I do, I have such things stored on my server, but I do tend to put copies of anything I will need to get a machine up and running onto a usb stick before setting about a reformat/build etc.

Speaking of having 20 versions of ATI drivers, I have Nvidia drivers dating back to the version 4 or 5 Detonators for the Riva TnT cards back in 1998/1999. I don't remember exactly which number I started with (had 3DFX cards before that), but I still have a huge collection of them on a dvd somewhere. I don't keep them all on my server anymore of course.

i tend to do a monthly sweep on all my machines to keep them update

of course, everything is backed up too, but i clean out any old crap every few weeks

gone are the days of..

stuff, stuff2, stuff3, stuff3a folders

I back everything I need up on my server and external drives - saves faffing about with partioning.
