Does anyone else get annoyed when a courier company does this?

Last time I got carded when I was in I rang the Depot about 1 minute after the Time Stated it was delivered written on the card & asked them - When did you invent a ******** Time Machine ? About ten minutes later the Courier knocked on my door with my parcel. :p

Like I said the other week, the networks are way past their capacity at the moment, they simply can't deliver what they have.

It's their fault for taking on accounts they can't cope with, the driver in all likely hood just simply had more than it was physically possible to deliver.

The reason it's down as card left and not failed, is that carded deliveries don't count as failures on a depots stats.

Did he arrive in the Tardis? :p

I wish more places would offer Collect+ its such a simple yet brilliant idea.

This.

Have nothing but issues with "Amazon Logistics". Constantly getting the "we tried to deliver but no-one was in" when I'm sitting at my computer.

Complained several times and the rep said they were getting a lot of complaints about them and did the usual "extra month free" rubbish.

Luckily my collect+ store is a 2min walk from my flat, guys in there probably know me by first name now!

I use to get this all the time when I lived in Parkhead, Glasgow but since moving up to Clackmannanshire I never get messed about by couriers, it's brilliant. Doesn't matter which ones (Even Yodel) they always deliver.

So i'm waiting on a parcel to arrive today (amazon prime one day delivery). I check the delivery schedule for the parcel via tracking earlier today and it tells me its out for delivery. I check it about 10 minutes ago and it says:

An attempt was made to deliver your parcel. The carrier has left a card at your location, please contact the carrier for next steps.

You what? Uhhmm no card has been left no attempt was made i've been sitting here reading a book waiting on my door buzzer going...

Shocker its Citylink  Its annoying as i specifically ordered this item because i could get it 1 day delivery.

The parcel was never even on the van, they're just trying to avoid paying the fine that they would otherwise owe the sender for not making the delivery in time. They don't actually have enough drivers to deliver all the parcels they should be. To be honest as well they treat their drivers like **** so It's not surprising they don't make much of an effort.

Yesterday morning I'm waiting for a parcel and I see a DHL van pull up (my computer is right next to the front window). It stays there for a bit, the driver gets out and I go to meet him at the front door but he shoves a card through the letterbox and I immediately open the door calling him back. He said he rung the doorbell but I asked him not to lie because I went to the door the moment he walked up my drive and I rung the doorbell.
This is the second time this has happened but the last time he drove off I was able to stop the driver at the end of my street (it goes round in a big circle.
Did they have the parcel to hand both times?

I get this all the time. It's great because I quite often don't actually need it next day.

The reason this is GOOD is I immediately open up a ticket with Amazon and ask for a free month prime, quoting this link:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201117450

Best one recently was an order I placed on a Saterday and they told me it would be delivered on Sunday, the next day! Needless to say it wasn't, it came on Monday like any normal person would expect (even with Prime) but I still opened a ticket and still got my month free.

The only bad thing is you can only get 12 free months per year. I've had 8 this "term", but hell, I'll keep on asking regardless.

Make sure you tell them your disgusts with citylink. They're the sole reason for 7 of my delayed packages and I make it clear every time that they pull this same trick every time and make Amazon look bad in return.

Had a classic the other day, driver banging on the door at 7am and went to his van.

I went out as he was getting back into his car and he turned and said "oh sorry mate, I can't find it" and drove off. Surely, he should have checked before attempting to delivery nothing at all ...

had the same a few months back.
but i have CCTV on my house, told them they can view my footage if they want to prove the lying git didnt turn up..
they just refunded me the next day delivery price and the driver then delivered the next day, he said he did try yesterday blah blah
told him "nope, look up there, its one of CCTV cameras and that said to me along with me being in the house was enough evidence to prove not only did you not attempt to deliver it yesterday, but you never even came into my street"

he didnt say much, but never had an "attempted delivery" from amazon since
