I live in the czech republic so i normally buy a LHD car in the uk and drive it over here. I normally save around 30%

I'm sure you could import a Jap. car for much less than a european one with them being so much closer to you,also it would be RHD and metric.Do look into the rules and regulations about importing cars into Aus. as the tax man always wants his slice
