Does anyone still game on CRTs?

Nah. I like the space saving and multiple inputs of a 4:3/5:4 LCD panel. I've had a couple of CRTs over the years of retro gaming but can't be arsed with them anymore.

I did but a 14" TV CRT for my PS2 but it turns out it's mono (even for audio out, SCART in) and I didn't like the 50hz flickering in most PS2 games.

Yep, I have a 21" MX4000 in the living room for classic gaming goodness

Only letdown is the flat plastic on the front inhibits light gun gaming which is a shame as the RGB picture on it is amazing

Yes, for retro games. The little 14" really takes up no space and does PAL, PAL-M and NTSC. Below showing a US NTSC SNES, a knock-off SNES Jnr (PAL), and a Brazilian Tectoy Megadrive (PAL-M, which is basically NTSC standards but will PAL colour). Always use composite as that's what I used back in the day.

I use a very similar 14" Sony Trinitron for my ZX81 and Spectrum 48k.
Both computers are composite modded, and the TV delivers an astonishingly sharp picture for the ZX81 - a far cry from the blurry image I used to get on my B&W TV as a kid.

I also have a fully working Commodore 1702 monitor which I've also used on the ZX81 and Spectrum, as my original C64 isn't fully working.

If I had a space for a second setup (19" Iiyama Vision Master Pro) I would definitely give it a go, classic games such as Doom look incredible.

I could cram it onto my desk but it would mean playing at an angle, screen offset to one side because the depth of my desk isn't that deep for a CRT! I like to play games facing the screen rather than sitting at an angle. Nonetheless, I am off this week and have an itch to give it a go!

I have reverted my day to day PC and retro XP machine to use a Dell U2412M as my main screen and loving it.

I actually miss the days of high end CRTs with all resolutions being ‘native’, high refresh rates, great picture quality…

I recall really struggling to adapt to LCDs when they first started to become the ‘norm’…granted they’ve come on a way since then but still…I do miss my SyncMaster 900NF & Iiyama 454 Pro

Playing GTA 3 ATM with a wireless PS4 pad and HDD mod on the B&O MX6000, just got a nice chair which is the perfect level to play for hours. More consoles in the cabinet, I like to get them out as and when.

I have a CRT hooked up to my Dell D333 Pentium II running Windows 95. Its a good old reliable machine for DOS games/applications but I haven't switched it on in 2 years so hopefully its still working.
