Does Jailbreak void warranty?

Hi All,

As the title says, does it?

I'm getting an iPod Touch for my birthday, and I want to Jailbreak it, but I don't want to void the warranty ...

Sorry if this has been asked like a million time, I looked, but couldn't find any reliable information regarding warranty.

But you should be able to restore it if anything goes wrong.

Or if you kill your touch they won't be able to look it up anyhow

Yeah one you restore it fully they cant tell you ever changed anything xD

It does have to be a UK one, you cant jailbreak a US one, restore it then expect the warranty.

I dont mind walking you through the process mate once you get it.

Takes around 15 minutes to do, then a good few hours messing around with the new stuff you can do.

If you want to watch videos as well, then these two are the best:

Basically he goes through every step in as much detail as possible so the videos are like 15 minutes in total, but in reality once you know how to do it, it takes probabily 6 or 7 minutes to do from scratch.

is it worth doing then? i don't even know what you can do once it has jailbreak on it, all i know is you can install 3rd party apps, and everyone seems to be doing it

Yeah most of them, it will tell you if not, or it will be obvious if it is iPhone only.

Sketches makes everyone go "wow", it's an etch a sketch, so draw something shake the iPod to erase it.

There's loads of things that use the accelerometer which is impressive

EDIT: what does o2 mean by unlimited UK data? does it mean i can look at as many sites etc as i want using EDGE? or just wifi hotspots?

Yeah with EDGE, good choice on the iPhone mate

But there is a fair usage policy, can't remember what it is though as I use PAYG in mine.
