If you truly think that then you either know nothing about football, or haven't seen much of him recently.

I'm not saying the guy's brilliant, but at the moment he's better than most of the other English midfielders. The only one playing as well as him recently is Kevin Nolan, who should also be given a chance.

I've seen plenty of him, I also saw Karl Henry out play him at Molineux.

But cheating, and assault, not even close. Rooney, a bum, a cheat, a low class moron, none of those things are illegal. Nothing either of them has done comes even close to what Barton has gotten up to.

This sum's up the reality of the situation imo.

Play for England? Newcastle as a club should hang their heads for accepting this tbh
