Does the PS3 upscale SD DVD's ?

Are we on about

Scaling and Rendering ? PS1 games do look like that and you can get amazing results with a PS1 emulator on the PC. I'm sure the PS3 has enough power to actually render it at a higher res.

You need to update the firmware to the latest version 1.9 to get it to work (or v1.82 but v1.9 was released after that)

Thanks, I did it last night. Has improved the image quality a little.
