Does the Wireless 360 pad in Windows still have problems?

Had 2 wireless receivers for about 6 years never had any problems with either both still going strong as well the only issues are games which do not support them!! Avoid the counterfeit models you should be fine if the internal fuse does ever break just google the DIY replacement procedure.

Fine here to. (Unofficial receiver to)

I bought an unofficial one (unknowingly), didn't work. Got a replacement, it still didn't work. In the end I just bought a wired controller, because what's the point in buying a wireless receiver for more than it costs for a wired controller? Plus I don't mind the wire, at least the controller is a lot less bulky. Everyone who uses my Xbox (including myself) now prefers to use the wired controller.

When the PC sits in a cupboard behind a wall and you use the TV instead of the monitor lying sprawled out on the couch for gaming.

Not enough spare USB ports and you cba swapping/freeing up ports.

The cable isn't long enough.

Kids that decide to just get up and walk away while holding onto the pad for sheer life-never mind arguing over it-snap goes the plastic pin on the USB port:eek:

The best one though, your mate goes for a pee, comes back and it's gone and you unpause the game-guaranteed a laugh.;)

Loads of reasons really.:D

Thanks for the replys guys.

Hats off to Overclockers for an AWESOME price for the controller and receiver.

Ordered.

How much more bulky is the wireless controller compared to the wired one?

Also, I have a first gen wired, do these second gen pads have a more compact layout?

Annoys me that third party manufacturers have failed to grasp the concept of xinput controllers. There is very little choice for "Good" gamepads.

Sony should officially support Windows for their controllers.
