Also do I need screws?

I am ordering a 5.25 to 3.5 inch converter from elsewhere and need to know whether to get the screws with anti vibration washers

All OEM HDDs do not come with a SATA cable, you should have one supplied with your Motherboard..

This is a secondary HDD.

Normally you get sufficient cables with a motherboard to use all the various ports.

If you want special screws then you'll need to get them separately.

is there actually a differance between SATA and SATA-2 cables?

ive got LOADS of SATA cables you can have some for free if theres no differance between them

No difference. Older cables may not have retention clips but they still work at full speed with SATA300 drives.
