Does this depress anyone else?

It's an M3 convertible so it will be slightly heavier than the standard version.
Anyway, if you were given the choice would you really choose the Paxo ?!?!

Not really because after all its still a saxo what ever way you look at it even if it can beat an M3.
Putting a big engin in a small **** box of a car is nothing to be proud of imo

Is the Saxo not still running the 1.6 engine, albeit heavy modification? Theyre nippy from standard anyway!

No chance :D

I didnt notice it was a convertible. I just hate the fact that a saxo can beat an M3!!

You could make any little poxy shopping car beat many super cars in a straight line. doesn't mean anything

Comparing modified v standard is hardly fair. Spend the same amount on the M3 and watch it go.

No it puts a big grin on my face :D

It is the orginal 1.6 engine not some heavy engine so still handles like a saxo should. Running about 200bhp at the wheels.

The conversion is less than £3k, what would that buy you for an M3 :p

Saxo looks likes a rats bum!:p

A saxo is good for a spotty teenager, M3 is for the older mature type.

it may be cheap but it's still wrong wheel drive and will get slapped all over the place in the corners.

I'm all for sleepers so I'd give my praise to the Saxo owner! As much as I dislike most Saxo's and their owners, the VTS and VTR are quick cars!

Very good. One car can be had for £1500, the other at least £20k. Obviously a saxo is not being compared to an M3 here.

Oh and **** off with your stereotyping :)

I'd put money on that saxo spanking a standard M3 cabrio round a track as well as in a straight line.

It is fair when the saxo gives up so much bhp to the M3 begin with. Comparing standard with standard would be a joke.

Umm, a supercharger and over 400bhp!! Or....another chavxo to drive very fast off a very short cliff!

Obviously

Ditto that... too heavy... well balanced, but ultimately weight has the edge

:D

Supercharging including mapping it for £3k on an M3? No.

BMW M3 Supercharged Kit (including fitting and mapping), and a Front Mounter Intercooler...from Bavarian Autosport = £3260.44

So....yes!

I had a run in with an E46 M3 once on an airfield and the look on his face when I was side by side with him from 70mph until a tad over 130mph where he started to pull away slowly was priceless. Not bad considering I was about 60bhp down.
