Simple premise. In a lot of forums the post count is seen as some kind of status symbol or achievement, especially where ranks are attached.

So does the number of your post count matter to you, or not at all? In some places it's removed to stop post spamming [though it doesn't seem to make any difference]. Personally it's not something I really pay attention to.

Nope.

It does to Tefal though for some reason, or he may just care about his posts per day more than the actual post count. If it where to drop below 20 I think we would never see him again.

Been here 3 years and made 242 posts. No it does not matter at all to me. I read the forums pretty much every day but rarely contribute to them.

Nope, other than giving a very general indication of someones presence/activity on the forums, they're pretty meaningless.

Represents nothing more than ones time served on the forum. Also a means of distinguishing regular members from the noobs!

It's usually sigs I look out for, more than avatars or post counts. :p

I dont tend to reply that often, don't think I have ever really spammed in a bid to up it.

When I first joined I did want enough for MM.

Post counts don't matter, but the posters age needs to be displayed so you can allow for the reality break some young'un suffer from. :D
