it depends which one of their houses i'm at. If im at home the wife does, i'f im on a "business trip", the girlfriend does

My bf is at work and I'm only at uni so I cook during the week. At weekends we make something together. I love cooking so don't mind really

Girlfriend does most if not all of the cooking, i clean up after wash dishes etc.

We tend to split the cooking more or less down the middle and both pitch in on meals. I tend to do most of the washing up, but then she does all the house cleaning and laundry. So it works out pretty fair.

I know it's probably a bit old fashioned in this day and age to expect your wife to do all the cooking everyday etc...

But would you say that your wife does still do most of the cooking?


...is there anything wrong with that though? Does she moan? or is it just old fashioned and sexist?

Yep my missus, not wife does most of the cooking as im totally useless...i can cook if need be but im no Gordon Ramsey...she doesnt moan much as i make up for it in other ways...usually ill give her a couple of days off and take her out rather than her cook all the time.

My cooking is appalling - mainly because I never do it!

My GF however is a wonderful cook, and makes a wide variety styles of home-made meals each day.

Plus she really enjoys cooking, so who am I to deny her the pleasure!


That and if I started cooking when I came back from work, we'd not have dinner until about 8-9pm some nights, rather than it being at about 6:30 soon after I get back from work.

My wife does 92% of the cooking, we eat out the other 8%

I do the tidying up, load/unload dishwasher, setting the table getting drinks and such ready.
