Dog Owners

Glad to see lots of other boxer owners! This is Elsa my (soon to be) 8 year old boxer.

These pics are from a recent family holiday we took her on. She had just had an operation to remove a lump from her side (hense the stitches) and some bauld patches where she got injections. She's now more or less back to normal with her hair growing back nicely!

She's still every bit the puppy she ever was and has done some daft things. If you look closely at her chin in these pics you'll see it's badly cut - this is the result of her taking a run and jump of a 6 foot wall and not realising how high she was fell flat on her face while we were away. I actually thought she had broke her legs with the weight of her hitting the ground and the yelp but she got up and went on as if nothing had happened!

I can't tell whether she looks a little fatty or not :D

Rocky (my boxer) is still only 14 months old so every muscle can be seen when in use. When he puts his front paws on the top of a fence or something his definition on his shoulders is awesome.

Glad to hear she's well on the mend :) Rocky's stitches from having his bits done are due out soon.

She is a bit on the heavy side (36kg to be exact) but she was like that when we got her and it doesn't bother her at all. She's still much taller than any other bitch I've seen so she's not a standard size anyway. She had lots of problems with her first and last litter where she lost all but 2 pups and nearly died and we were told by the vet her weight is something to do with that. They are very strong dogs and know exactly how to use their muscles when they want! We got one of her pups and he was the skinniest boxer I've ever seen but sadly he died when he was 2 with cancer.
