Domain name stolen from UK business what to do?

His daughter created the godaddy account and his business pays for it.. He is 100% owner of that business the account details were shared with someone who was going to be involved in the business and set up the web site..
Not only has he taken the godaddy account he has put a redirect on my friend email account (for that domain) and changed the password..
The actual domain details may not have been updated meaning they still remain in the original details. They do not auto update with the GD account.
If that is the case and it’s a .uk extension then go via a dispute with nominet. There isn’t anything GoDaddy can realistically do about it as the are holding the domain for you on behalf of nominet who are the ones with the power to solve these issues.
As for the GoDaddy account, I doubt you will be able to authenticate the account with support meaning hands are tied for them. Solution to this they will more than likely send you down the changeupdate.com route.

I don't even know how to phrase the question..
My friend needs to tell his solicitor to call a company like yours (which would be a company that works in which field??? )
Or he needs to get a soliciror that works in a different field?
This post was oddly actually helpful in providing the correct specialist lawyer to contact, was this intentional? Do all your BS posts contain hidden secrets such as these?

As mags pointed out I work for an Intellectual Property law firm, you need a firm, like ours that has domain resolution and litigation services.

So was it stolen as you say or was it llowed to expire and someone else bought it? Did I miss that bit?

No someone was going to set up the website for him and has access to the godaddy account first they set a forward on his email (not realising he would be notified) then a few hours later he changed the email password and godaddy account password / account recovery options.
I will tell him he need to speak to an IP law firm.. And go over today to get him set up with a different email address
