@op who originally registered the domain, your friend or the person stealing the domain name?
His daughter created the godaddy account and his business pays for it.. He is 100% owner of that business the account details were shared with someone who was going to be involved in the business and set up the web site..
Not only has he taken the godaddy account he has put a redirect on my friend email account (for that domain) and changed the password..

My friend needs to tell his solicitor to call a company like yours (which would be a company that works in which field??? )
