What are the main differences between the

Corsair 6GB (3x2GB) 1600MHz Triple Cannel i7 XMS Memory Kit CL7 1.65V
Corsair 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz XMS3 Dominator Memory CL8(8-8-8--24)

I can see one is cl7 and the other cl8 but from looking at reviews the cl8 seems to go down to 7 no problem
they are both £100 give or take a quid

What am I missing here?

Cheers

yet another set at £100
can you tell me why these are better, and what the differences/trade offs are compared to the others (please excuse my ignorance)

got about £150 to spend on RAM, not really fussed which brand so would appreciate recommendations

Hi, i wouldnt go spending more that £100 odd on some decent ram tbh, just wouldnt be worth it unless you are overclocking for Britain.! :p

Out of the corsair range the ones i said have the tightest timmings of the lot which would make them slightly faster and easier to overclock. :)

Dominator memory comes with the fancy heatsinks..thats the major difference.. makes very little difference to anything but the more extreme memory modules which a generally dominator only!
