dominator differences

What are the main differences between the

Corsair 6GB (3x2GB) 1600MHz Triple Cannel i7 XMS Memory Kit CL7 1.65V
Corsair 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz XMS3 Dominator Memory CL8(8-8-8--24)

I can see one is cl7 and the other cl8 but from looking at reviews the cl8 seems to go down to 7 no problem
they are both £100 give or take a quid

What am I missing here?

can you tell me why these are better, and what the differences/trade offs are compared to the others (please excuse my ignorance)

got about £150 to spend on RAM, not really fussed which brand so would appreciate recommendations

Hi, i wouldnt go spending more that £100 odd on some decent ram tbh, just wouldnt be worth it unless you are overclocking for Britain.!

Out of the corsair range the ones i said have the tightest timmings of the lot which would make them slightly faster and easier to overclock.

Dominator memory comes with the fancy heatsinks..thats the major difference.. makes very little difference to anything but the more extreme memory modules which a generally dominator only!
