Can someone shed some light on this as it seems a bit too good to be true.

So my local pizza shop has gotten worse and worse to the point I'm not going back, every time its a lottery as to if you'll actually get what you ordered and if it will be coooked properly, anyway having never been before i thought id give dominoes a bash tonight.

I had a quick look at their site and it doesnt seem to make much sense. So a large pizza is £16 and every topping you want extra is like 1.75.

But theres a deal where if you collect you get any pizza any size for £6, You have to collect but then they dont deliver to my postcode anyway. That sounds fine, obviously just a deal, but then when you customise you get to change 2 things on the pizza whether thats double portions or new toppings and you dont get charged a penny, it still comes out at £6.

So you pay £16 and you get charged for toppings or
you pay £6 and get the toppings for free...

Is that a **** up on there part or is that the way its meant to be?

Must admit im a bit dubious about ordering online rather than phoning them up but i'll give it a bash and see.

That's how it's meant to be, delivery is stupidly expensive.
And pizza cost sod all to make, so they are still making profit.

And you can change two toppings with no charge on most pizza options without issue. It's when you add more or make more changes you generally get charged.

Why do they send some good offers out in the new year, must resist.

Dominos standard prices are rediculously high, but they are always doing deals of some kind, be in buy 1 get 1 free, pizza of any size for reduced amount, buy pizza and get free side dishes, etc etc.

They also charge extra if you want stuffed crust or one of their non standard bases.

I'm pretty sure the whole £6 collect thing is currently a deal they have going on this week, as it's also ordering any sized pizza online for £10.

And the extra toppings is the same regardless of the deals going on, you can add extra for an increase in price, or remove one and add one for the same price etc etc as long as it's the same amount of toppings originally on the pizza, although I think they limit the amount of changes...

Use to love their pizzas until last night when upon getting food from Dominoes we found a very long blonde hair IN the pizza!

hmmmmm... domino's.....

may just have to have one for dinner tonight.. :-)

You will regret it, don't like the premium pizzas, the toppings are all wrong. The balance is so far of. Blue cheese in the four cheese pizza is fair to strong and over powers everything. Similarly. One of the meats on the pepperoni overpowers everything else as well.

Not ordered a dominos for at least 2 years now.... Bought myself a bread maker (cheating I know) to make the dough, and haven't looked back from making my own since. Costs a lot less and other than a little planning ahead so the dough has time to rise, doesn't really take too long...

Tonight's was spicy ham (decent ham, chilli flakes and peppadew peppers) with home-made pizza sauce (tomatoes, onions, garlic, herbs and pepper).

I can't get over the fact Dominos is nearly £15-20 for a pizza :s

Local independent pizza shops are around £5-£7 for the same size and some are really good quality (as takeaway pizzas go at least!).

Maybe in city centres the costs are more comparable?

It's. Only 15-20 if you order online. It's so convinentient and can pay by card.
But even paying online. 98% of the time they have deals. It's like DfS if you pay full price you are being ripped of and the sale last 364.9 days a year.
